Smart labels for packaging

Packaging that answers questions in one scan.

NowQR smart labels give every product its own mobile information page: nutrition, ingredients, allergens, sourcing, and contact details. Make the page, download the QR code, and send it to your label printer.

A recall switch on every package you’ve already printed

Printed labels can’t warn anyone. NowQR smart labels can. If your product is recalled for a health or safety issue, flip one switch and every QR Cow and shelf tag in stores, pantries, and fridges instantly shows your recall warning and call to action, or sends scanners straight to your recall notice. Flip it back when the recall is over.

Instant

The warning goes live the moment you switch it on. No reprinting, no relabeling.

Your call to action

“Get your refund,” “See recall notice,” or a hotline button, plus affected lots and dates.

Redirect option

Send every scan straight to your recall page or refund form while the recall is on.

Reversible

When it’s over, switch it off and your normal product page comes back.

Good to know

Bioengineered food disclosure

USDA’s National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard (7 CFR Part 66) lets food makers disclose bioengineered ingredients in several ways, including a QR code (an “electronic or digital link”). When you use a QR code for that purpose, the package must say “Scan here for more food information” or similar, and include a phone number. The page must show the disclosure first, without marketing, and may not collect shoppers’ personal information. A NowQR smart label page can hold that disclosure; you are responsible for making sure your label meets the rule for your products.
